Join Chinook City Roller Derby!
Lets get you started on the path to being a derby skater.
Are you already skating and want to join our league? Just email us at info@chinookcity.ca and let us know! We’ll get you to come out, assess your skating skills level and assign you to a team.
All skaters must have their own equipment. This equipment includes: Quad Skates, Elbow Pads, Knee Pads, Wrist Guards, Helmet and Mouth Guard.
Membership details
SKATER INSURANCE:
In order to skate with Chinook City, you must be over the age of eighteen (18) (photo ID required) and have valid skate insurance. Insurance is $55/year and must be renewed annually – sign up for insurance at Roller Derby Canada.
DUES:
All league members pay monthly dues that help pay for our practice space. League Members pay $55 per month.
OFFICIALS:
Not interested in playing, but want to become part of the roller derby community? You can also join as a Non-Skating Official or Referee. Officials are not required to pay dues, but have the option of paying $20 a month for membership voting rights.
DROP IN SKATERS:
Visiting skaters who have met their home league’s minimum skills are welcome to attend our practices for a drop-in fee of $10 per session. For practice times and locations, please contact us at info@chinookcity.ca.
